In the 2019 offseason, Westbrook was traded to the Houston Rockets. Unlike Kevin Durant, Westbrook received an ovation and a tribute video in his return to Oklahoma. Westbrook scored 34 points in the game on the 9th. Westbrook is Mr. Thunder. Westbrook had three straight seasons with a triple-double. A stain on Westbrook’s comeback is that the Rockets lost, and Westbrook shot the three at only 18%. I don’t think the Rockets are going to win anything this season. I still don’t think Westbrook and Harden work, but that’s not what this story is about. This story is about a heartfelt welcome back to Russell Westbrook, and it most definitely that. The fans of the Thunder should have a lot of appreciation for Russell Westbrook. They certainly showed it, and gave their all to someone who had given them his all for nine years.
