The Alabama junior quarterback had an interesting decision to make this offseason. Tua Tagovailoa had to choose whether to declare for the draft or stay at the University of Alabama for another year. At the beginning of the year, it was believed that Tua would be the first overall pick, but after a hip injury, scouts thought Tua’s draft stock would plummet. I think that Tua made the right decision by going to the NFL. Tua has had two ankle injuries and a hip injury in his time at Alabama. Right now Tua can still be a top ten pick, but if he had gone back and gotten hurt again, his draft stock could have fallen out of the first round. I think the Miami Dolphins will draft Tua Tagovailoa at number five. Even with the injuries, Tua, in my opinion, is the most talented quarterback in the draft. He has a big arm and sees the game like a pro. He is a precision pocket passer with the twitch needed to make plays with his legs. I think if the Dolphins pass on him they will regret it. The problem for the Dolphins, in drafting Tua, is their offensive line. But Tua doesn’t have to start right away. Tua can sit behind Ryan Fitzpatrick for a season while the Dolphins bulk up the offensive line. I think Tua will be a top quarterback in the NFL. Tua, in my opinion, made the right decision because he has the qualities to be a top ten pick, and if he gets hurt in college again teams may not want to take him as high.
